We have recently launched our first ever Managers Programme, a dedicated training and mentoring programme through which we will deliver a year-long focus on continued management development, helping to instil and deliver best practice across the group.
This team of highly qualified, tenured team managers are responsible for leading project teams across the UK; delivering excellence in children’s social work practices, through relationship-based and responsive support that reflects the needs of children, young people, and their families.
We are committed to ensuring that our managers have access to the tools and knowledge they need support their teams and develop excellent practitioners, and encourage continuous professional development, both for managers and their teams through appropriate training, learning and research opportunities.
The Programme, which involves a mix of in-person training and field-based development is designed to bring the management group together regularly, to create consistencies in our approach and to ensure that our managers have the skills, tools, and support to positively manage their core teams, contributing also to service development within the team and across the service.
Claire Nelson, Assistant Director at Innovate who is leading the programme said…
“This is an exciting time for us here at Innovate! We’re pleased to be working with a group of great managers of really high calibre who are committed to creating the best social work teams possible. These talented individuals will help us to achieve a consistently excellent service delivery to our local authority partners and ultimately, the children and families we work with”.
Over the course of the programme, managers will undergo a range of specific training modules delivered by specialist areas across the business, from Quality Assurance to Data development, not to mention our Practice Standards which were released in 2021, which we see as our North Star for the business, helping us to guide our approach.
“The training so far has been brilliant. I feel it’s given me the confidence to be the best Team Manager I can” – Talent Nyatsanza
“The training has made me feel really motivated and excited to put my learning into action!” – Pippa Hall
We’ll be following the progress of the team as they progress with their training over the coming months, but for now a BIG welcome to the whole Team… Pippa, Laura, Roni, Talent and Kayleigh!
